Best Friends Walk 2025

I'm taking part in PetRescue’s Best Friends' Walk to help homeless pets find their best friend. 

When it launched in 2004, the PetRescue website was the first of its kind in Australia, and since then, it has been the connection for over 930,000 rescue pets and their new families. 

PetRescue’s adoption platform gives pets the best chance to find a home by bringing thousands of homeless pets face-to-face with tens of thousands of potential adopters every day. And the best part is, all PetRescue website services and adoption support programs are free and accessible to all rescue members and pet lovers alike.

Mission complete! What a challenge, conquered 80km and raised over $500 to help pets in need! Thank you everyone who supported us on this journey 🙏🏼 ❤️

Week 1 done!!!

We are smashing our goals!! 22.5 km done and dusted for week 1, 3 weeks and 37.5km to go YEWWW It feels amazing to accomplish this first milestone and even more motivated to keep going!!

1st of September - 1st walk logged Today is the day we start walking to raise funds for homeless pets in hopes they find their best friend! I'm nervous ahhhhhh, I've never set a goal like this before and to complete this-80km in 30 days is quite daunting. We have been in training these last few months and averaging 14-16km per week..which in it self is a huge effort. But we have got this thanks to our amazing friends and their encouragement. Don't forget, if you want to join us on a walk, let us know 😁🙌

Hi everyone! 🐾 I'm looking forward to spending time with my bestest friend out walking to help my furry pals find their bestest fwens. My mum needs all the encouragement she can get so next time you see her tell her to keep on pawing and I reckon she would love for you to join us on one of our adventure walks, I know I would. WOW!!

1 month to go before Lola and I step up to a big challenge of walking 80kms during the month of September! We have already raised over half of our fundraising target 🙌

Lola and I are stepping up for a cause close to our hearts! 🐾

This September, my booti-fulliest and flooff-iest best friend, Lola and I are taking part in the Best Friends Walk to raise funds for PetRescue.

Lola has been by my side through every high and low, and I honestly can’t put into words the love and joy she brings into my life. We've shared so many meaningful moments together, and this walk is just one more way we can give back together.

Our goal is to walk 80km and raise $500 to help PetRescue continue their incredible work of finding loving homes for pets in need.

This challenge also marks a personal milestone for me; I’ve been alcohol-free since January and have been focusing on improving my overall health and wellbeing. Walking with Lola has played a huge role in supporting my mental and emotional health, and I want to help shine a light on how powerful that bond can be.
