Lindsey Leigh and Floof

Cauliflower Lindsell McFloof and I are raising money for pets who haven't yet found their FURever home!

If you have ever been in one of my keynotes or trainings, you will have heard a story (or two!) about our cat, Cauliflower Lindsell McFloof (fondly known as Floof).

My husband and I found Floof at a rescue shelter and adopted her on the spot.

She was only there a few days in total, but not every homeless pet is so lucky.

Roughly 110,000 dogs and 80,000 cats end up homeless in Australian shelters and pounds every year, with some reporting averages of up to 46 days before the lucky ones eventually find a home.

Floof and I want to see these numbers decrease.

So in September, we’re walking 30km to raise money for PetRescue to help homeless pets find their FURever family, fast - just like Floof did!

Everyday - rain, hail or shine - little Floof marches me to where her harness with lead (also known as her “Outdoor Fit”) is kept in the laundry.

I collect it, and we head over to our favourite couch where she sits on my lap purring while I dress her in said "Outdoor Fit".

I give her a big kiss on her head and that’s when she know’s it’s on!

Off my lap she jumps, and straight to the door (which I can never open fast enough) so she can run as quickly as her little legs will carry her around to the back of our house and into all the good sniffs.

We love it!

And while I’m not sure those little legs will take her the whole 30km’s, we’ll spend the month going for extra long walks with her "Outdoor Fit" and PetRescue bandana on - and I can walk the extra km's while she catches up on her beauty sleep.

Your supPAWt for this cause would mean so much.
